Tissue factor, human, recombinant, liquid

Tissue Factor (TF) is a 45 kDa transmembrane cell surface glycoprotein known for its role in initiating coagulation for the past 90 years.(1) TF is comprised of three domains: an extracellular domain (aa 1-219), followed by a hydrophilic spanning domain (aa 220-242) and a cytoplasmic tail (aa 243-263).(2) It functions as a receptor and cofactor for the latent serine proteases factor VII and VIIa.(3,4) Contact between TF and blood is sufficient to initiate the extrinsic pathway of coagulation.

ADG45 is full length recombinant human tissue factor. The protein consists of amino acids 1-263, comprising the extracellular, transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. It is produced by an E. coli expression system.

Estimated at greater than 98% per SDS gel electro-phoresis and silver staining. ADG45 appears as a single band at approximately 35 kDa.

The procoagulant activity was demonstrated in a chromogenic Tissue Factor activity assay (ACTICHROME® TF assay, product no. 846).

Screw capped vial containing 25 µg of purified human tissue factor in PBS pH 7.4. See vial label for lot-specific concentration.

Store frozen at -20°C or colder. It is recommended to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
